Blandy & Blandy welcomes second new partner in family law team
Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy has continued to strengthen its growing family law team with the appointment of Gemma Kemp as a partner.
Gemma re-joins Blandy & Blandy from a top ranked UK and international law firm, having previously spent five years at the firm.
She will primarily be based in Blandy & Blandy’s Wokingham office at 5 Market Place but also advise clients from the firm’s offices in Reading and Henley-on-Thames, as well as remotely.
Gemma brings 20 years’ experience of working in Family Law, including 15 as a qualified lawyer, and is named as a ‘Rising Star’ in The Legal 500.
As a member of Family Law body Resolution, she advises all aspects of Family Law and is a Resolution accredited specialist in the areas of complex finances and private children law.
Gemma joins fellow partners Claire Dyer, Tasha-Bevan-Stewart and Claire Clarke, and eight other lawyers and advisers, making Blandy & Blandy’s team one of the leading, largest and longest established advising on Family Law outside of London.
The firm is consistently recognised as a top tier firm for Family Law in the UK’s leading guides to the legal profession, Chambers UK and The Legal 500, with the latter describing Blandy & Blandy as "Without a doubt the top family law firm in the Thames Valley." It has twice been named as a finalist in the 'Family Law Firm of the Year - South' category at the national Family Law Awards in London and was 'highly commended' in 2022.
Gemma said: “I am delighted to be re-joining Blandy & Blandy and to be working alongside a team of excellent and well respected lawyers. I’m looking forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success”.
Team head Claire Dyer added: “It is wonderful to celebrate Gemma’s arrival as a partner in the team. Her varied experience, tenacity as a lawyer and approachable nature make her the perfect fit for Blandy’s. We are all looking forward to working with her and developing the team further together. ”
