We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to join one of the regions fastest growing media companies.

Independent regional B2B media company, Black Ox Ltd (part of Branscombe Group) are publishers of two regional B2B titles, Business & Innovation Magazine and The Business Magazine, along with its growing events brands including regional business awards, listings and a its recent new video production offering.

Job title: Regional Sales Manager

  • Hours: 08:30am – 5pm  Monday – Friday
  • Reports to: Head of Sales
  • Salary: £30 - £35k DOE plus benefits
  • Location: Hybrid/remote/Gloucester office - Essential for the candidate to be located in Gloucestershire/Bristol area.

Purpose of Role: 

Black Ox Media and Events focus on informing, connecting, and promoting businesses in the South East, South West and West Midlands.  We believe in the value of high-quality information and that bringing people together has the power to generate amazing results.

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for generating, managing, and closing opportunities in advertising, content sales and sponsorship in the South West.  Covering an area territory, the Regional Sales Manager will cover all market segments in their designed geographical region as the business look to further build their direct end user client base.

You will be a highly organised individual, ideally with experience selling B2B media, events and sponsorship and support Black Ox and its brands in growing and engaging senior business leaders in the South West Region. You should be capable, confident, and energetic with excellent communication and organisation skills and attention to detail.



  • Building relationships and networking
  • Selling advertising, content and sponsorship in person and on the phone
  • Always on the lookout to increase turnover
  • Identify opportunities to find business with existing and repeat clients
  • Manage the sales process to a close
  • Work with sales director to understand opportunities in the market
  • Use a variety of software packages (including, Google Docs, Zoho, Sharepoint, Teams)
  • Report on successes across a number of products, be responsible for each product to reach targets

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met
  • Positive, friendly, ambitious, accountable, confident, proactive and a team player
