Azets Cheltenham makes four taxing appointments
Azets, the top 10 accountancy firm, has announced a number of appointments in the Cheltenham tax team.
With more than 20 years of private client tax experience, Vanessa Clark joins the Cheltenham office as Private Client Director. As a certified ccountant and chartered tax advisor, Vanessa’s specialisms include inheritance tax planning, trusts, capital gains advice and in particular tax advice for non-resident and non-domiciled individuals. Vanessa will be working with a wide range of clients across the South West region.
Joining from a Big Four firm, Tom Westcott, has been appointed as corporate tax assistant manager. Tom will be working with businesses ranging from Owner Managed Businesses to international groups in his new role.
After successfully progressing through Azets national graduate recruitment scheme, Liam Carvalho and Mitchell Pettifor have joined the firm as graduate tax assistants. They will complete the prestigious ATT/CTA joint pathway on their way to becoming the chartered tax advisers of the future.
Tax Partner at Azets Cheltenham, Cathrin Richards, said: “The new appointments to the tax team are part of a wider strategy to build the strength and depth that we need, to continue to deliver a comprehensive range of tax planning, compliance and advisory services across the board, on a larger scale.
The company was rebranded as the rather funkily-named Azets in 2020, from Cogital Group.
The rebrand created a major presence in the UK accounting and business services market, with the scale and reach to serve businesses digitally and in person from the UK’s largest network of local offices.
Accountancy practices owned by Cogital, including Baldwins, Wilkins Kennedy and Campbell Dallas, along with all associated companies rebranded as Azets. Blick Rothenberg, another Cogital business, however retained its name within the Azets business.
