The appointments of Adam East, Lucy Higgs, Meghan Andrews and Eddi Taylor as new Azets partners this month lead a raft of promotions at all levels across Azets’ business in London and the South East and brings the total number of promotions during July in this region to 35. Azets is the UK’s largest regional accountancy firm and business adviser to SMEs with offices across the UK, including many in London and the South East.

East, based in Azets’ Amersham office, joined Azets as a trainee in 2011 and predominantly looks after clients in the SME sector, but his portfolio also includes large, international businesses. His passion is helping clients achieve their goals and holds particular interests in sustainable technologies and processes, SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), manufacturing and distribution.

Based in the Winchester and Romsey office, Higgs has over 20 years’ experience working with private clients and her large and diverse client portfolio includes high net worth individuals, partnerships, entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses. Higgs utilises her wealth of experience to advise on income and capital taxes planning including residence and domicile matters.

Andrews, based in London was previously a director in the restructuring and insolvency team in London and is a licensed insolvency practitioner. Andrews is experienced in dealing with both corporate and personal insolvencies and works across a variety of business sectors and industries. She specialises in providing advice, assistance and support to individuals, directors, creditors, shareholders and other stakeholders throughout the insolvency process.

Eddi Taylor, now a partner in the Canterbury office, has progressed from trainee through the firm and has a diverse and growing portfolio, ranging from sole traders and owner managed firms, to SMEs and large corporates. Taylor’s sector experience is broad but includes a particular insight into working within the property and construction, manufacturing and hospitality arenas.

In addition, Emma Lawrence and Jez Howson are both appointed as directors in the Southampton office, while Katy Shearman becomes a director in the Heathrow office.

Finally, in Kent, Adam Lacchin becomes a director in the Maidstone office.

William Payne (pictured), regional CEO for London and South East, Azets, commented: "Azets is growing fast and in order to fulfil our ambitious expansion plans it is vital not just to recruit the right people, but that we recognise and promote our talented employees into positions where their extensive knowledge and experience will benefit our clients. I am genuinely delighted to reward our exciting talent with these promotions, and to see them developing their careers within Azets. These appointments are very well deserved and we offer many congratulations to all our newly promoted staff across London and the South East."
