Worcestershire’s apprenticeship infrastructure was celebrated at the Worcestershire Apprenticeships hub’s eighth annual awards last Thursday (17 November).

More then 300 guests were in attendance to celebrate the efforts of those involved in the delivery and support of apprenticeships in the county at the first physical ceremony since the pandemic.

Winners were named in 11 categories, with Georgina Davis from Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust picking up Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by Platform Housing Group, and Redspeed International receiving Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, sponsored by Heart of Worcestershire College.

Media entrepreneur, podcaster, writer and performer Cally Beaton hosted the evening.

She said: “Firstly, I would like to say a massive congratulations to all of the finalists and winners at this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards.

“It was a pleasure to be able to host such a positive and passionate celebration event and I enjoyed every minute of it. Worcestershire should be extremely proud of all those involved in making apprenticeships a success for their ongoing dedication to promoting apprenticeships.”
