The South’s biggest automotive dealership has appointed David Graham to head up its transit centres as the commercial arm of the business continues to grow at a rate of knots.

Graham, who has been with Hendy for seven years, will be responsible for Hendy Group’s transit centre hub in Royal Tunbridge Wells, as well as its hubs in Horsham, Southampton, Portsmouth and Redhill.

Hendy’s transit centres sell commercial Ford vehicles, such as vans and pick-ups, and provide additional support services such as mobile servicing, MOTs, tyres and parts. The division counts businesses of all types among its customers, from plumbers and decorators to housing associations and alarm companies.

Following sustained growth and with the addition of three new locations across the region, Hendy has appointed David Graham, previously commercial sales manager, to head up the operation.

Hendy’s CV and fleet sales director Steve Roberts said: “We’ve seen real growth in this side of the business over recent years, due in no small part to the success of the sales team. They do a fantastic job, as is evident in the great feedback from our customers and the fact they picked up the coveted AM sales team of the year award recently.

“With such high demand for our commercial services, the appointment of David as group transit centre franchise manager will help us to ensure we continue to deliver the same award-winning service, no matter how big we grow.”

Commenting on his new role he said: “One of the most rewarding parts of my job over the last few years has been seeing our customers grow their businesses thanks to the vehicles we sell them. I’m looking forward to seeing more of these success stories in my new position, as well as working to develop our already highly-regarded sales team.”

Hendy Group’s transit centre team sells the most new Ford commercial vehicles of any retail dealership in the UK. Last year it grew retail registrations by 25%.
