Stroud based Ecotricity launches its first TV campaign
Stroud-based renewable energy company Ecotricity, has launched its first ever TV advertising campaign, but you won't see it across our region.
The company is targeting a small, specific audience in London to reach a whole new group of people who might not have heard of Ecotricity or its pioneering work.
The company is hoping that its new campaign help it get its message to greater numbers of people outside its core area in the South West, where it's already very well known.
Ecotricity was Britain’s first green energy company, founded 25 years ago. It built its first windmill in 1995 near Stroud, its home town.
Over the past quarter century, it's built 74 windmills and a solar park, creating clean electricity from the wind and the sun – turning ‘bills into mills’, is its tagline.
It's now building two new solar parks, using bifacial solar technology to harvest even more solar energy and has just signed a pioneering agreement to bring geothermal energy to the national grid for the very first time in the UK.
