Solent LEP’s Tech Growth Programme to provide free mentorship to Solent tech businesses
The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership has announced, in partnership with TechSolent, it is launching The Tech Growth Programme.
The programme will connect early-stage Solent-based tech businesses with the sector’s business leaders, who will provide their varied experience growing supporting and leading strongly performing tech firms.
The programme can be tailored to focus on specific goals, such as overcoming barriers to growth, launching new products, leading successful teams or creating strategies to enter new markets.
Anne-Marie Mountifield, Solent LEP Chief Executive, said: “We are incredibly excited to work with TechSolent for the launch of this new business support programme.
“It provides a unique opportunity for Solent tech businesses, at any stage in their development, to gain valuable support, advice and insight from experienced mentors who have led a successful business and are passionate about supporting the region’s tech sector and seeing it thrive.”

The mentors are all volunteers from the TechSolent network, and have experience and expertise in various areas within the field of tech and digital transformation. The programme is accessible through the Solent LEP Growth Hub, which matches applicants with mentors whose experience they can most benefit from.
They include:
- Andrew King – a former divisional director in Oracle, Microsoft and Computer Sciences Corporation, who has considerable experience in the profitable development of technology companies and most recently was the senior vice president at Invensys PLC.
- Mark Nicoll – CEO of Get PiPxr, who holds six years’ experience in software development and specialises in marketing automation, B2B gamification, AR/VR and implementing games into everyday software.
- Nicholas DaCosta-Greene – whose experience in corporate IT procurement management led him and his team to create and build one of the South Coast’s fastest growing IT support companies: Curatrix Technologies.
