Series of Solent events to celebrate Maritime UK Week
The Solent is hosting a series of events this week to celebrate National Maritime UK Week.
The event, held biennially, looks to illuminate the maritime sector’s developments, recognising the technology, innovation and teams responsible for 95 per cent of the UK’s global trade. As part of the celebrations Portsmouth International Port will host members of the public in an open day.
The industry, and the opportunities it presents, will be showcased during the week of events (10-16 October) across the region which relies on the maritime industry for almost 200,000 jobs.
