Blake Morgan signs up to Women in Law Pledge
Law firm Blake Morgan has signalled its commitment to the progress of gender equality, elimination of gender discrimination and to making positive change for the legal profession by signing up to the Law Society’s Women in Law Pledge.
The joint initiative between The Law Society, Bar Council of England and Wales, and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) aims to create a more equal legal sector and brings gender equality to the forefront of the conversation.
The pledge sets plans and high-level targets around gender equality and diversity, including a commitment to tackle workplace culture and bias, setting specific gender targets at leadership level and other levels as appropriate, and making the pledge public.
Blake Morgan has offices in Cardiff, London, Oxford, Reading, and Southampton. It was ranked at number 70 in The Business Magazine's 2021 edition of the Solent 250 list of the biggest local businesses.
It recently published its new Menopause in the Workplace Policy and Guide to support colleagues going through menopause and provides guidance to managers on how they can deliver the right support in the workplace. The firm is also a signatory to the Race at Work Charter and the Social Mobility Pledge, and appeared in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list for 2020/21, for the fourth consecutive year.
