Berkshire’s Xtrac achieves triple accreditation in 2022
Berkshire based automotive and motorsport transmission technology specialist Xtrac has gained three more accreditations in the past year.
The accreditations, which include recognition as a Real Living Wage Employer and the ESGMark, come after a period of increased effort in reducing emissions and a commitment to employee wellbeing.
Chief Executive at Xtrac, Adrian Moore said: "Xtrac has a longstanding commitment to ESG matters with employee wellness at the heart of its operations, as measured by our high level of staff retention.
"Looking after our employees helps us to look after our worldwide customers and other stakeholders, ensuring that we remain at the pinnacle of our industry as it transitions from internal combustion engines to hybrid and electric vehicles."

The company was also accredited by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 42 per cent by 2030. The company has also introduced certifiable renewable energy to its engineering and manufacturing headquarters in Berkshire.
Xtrac’s Head of finance Neil Johnston said: "Xtrac is committed to pursuing an ESG agenda dedicated to the environment, social and governance improvements that engender a sustainable future."
Xtrac was also recognized as a Real Living Wage Employer last year by the Living Wage Foundation. This accreditation came through the company committing to provide each of their employees with a minimum wage significantly higher than the government’s prescribed minimum.
Neil Johnston said: “It will benefit our apprentices and hourly paid employees, our highly qualified technicians and professional engineers are also paid well above the average median salary.
"It’s not just about the remuneration, but the total package of benefits, including the personal development available for all staff that helps us attract and retain the best talent in the automotive and motorsport industry."
The company’s strategy aligns with the UK Government’s Net Zero Strategy, published in 2021, and the Mission Zero independent review of Net Zero announced on 13 Jan 2023.
