Banbury Hockey Club receives donation of new kits
A junior hockey club in Banbury has received a funding boost from a local housebuilder.
Banbury Hockey Club, which plays its home games at North Oxford Academy off Warwick Road, received a donation of £900 from Ashberry Homes.
The money will help to provide new kits for the U14s and U16s teams.
The housebuilder is building a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at Cherry Fields, off Southam Road in Banbury.
Mykee Pinnell, Head of the Junior section at Banbury Hockey Club, said: “We are really grateful that Ashberry have chosen to support us.
“This generous donation means we can continue to invest in our junior section and provide top quality coaching and facilities for our youngsters.”
Elaine Brown, Head of Sales for Ashberry Homes, said: “Banbury Hockey Club is at the heart of the community in Banbury and gives so many young people the chance to take part in a sport.
“We are really pleased to be able to sponsor their new kits and wish them the best of luck for the season.”
There is a range of four-bedroom homes currently available at Cherry Fields, with prices starting at £290,000.
