£3,500 raised for The Nelson Trust at Women In Leadership event
A Women in Leadership event has raised £3,500 for Gloucester-based The Nelson Trust, which supports people on their recovery journey from alcohol and substance misuse.
Over 75 guests attended the event in Gloucester, providing an inspiring platform for the local business community to connect with like-minded leaders and listen to world-class speakers.
The panel of accomplished women featured The Nelson Trust's President, the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, Bishop of Gloucester; Rachel Geliamassi, Managing Director of Stagecoach West; Juliet Davenport, founder and former Chief Executive of Good Energy; Harriet Ward, HR Director of Benefact Group; and Millie Wood, ex-Gloucester and England rugby player and BBC commentator.
The panel discussed a range of themes that included overcoming gender bias, creating opportunities for women in leadership, and the significance of gender equality.
