Thames Valley: Blake Morgan praised for private client services
Blake Morgan’s teams in Oxford have been named as leaders in private client services for wealthy individuals in a prestigious guide by Chambers and Partners.
Chambers has listed the Thames Valley team in Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) 2017 – the authoritative guide to law firms providing high-quality and professional advice and support to domestic and international clients.
Chambers HNW 2017 is the second edition of the guide, which features in-depth commentary about the leading lawyers and law firms for wealthy individuals and families. The listing is based on research including interviews with clients and other law firms.
The guide describes Blake Morgan’s succession and tax practice in Oxford in glowing terms, referring to an “excellent firm” that is one of the “bigger players” in the private client field in the region. Listing the firm in its Band 2, Chambers HNW 2017 refers to the team’s “excellent attention to detail” and their ability to give clients “realistic but sensitive advice”.
Partner James Greig, a longstanding partner in the Thames Valley, is listed in the guide, referring to him as “very bright” and “well-regarded among peers”.
Associate Philip Allen, who specialises in wills, trusts, asset protection, and powers of attorney, is described as a “very thoughtful” lawyer who gives “solid advice”.
Helen Bunker, divisional director of private law at Blake Morgan, said: “In these unsettled times, it is more important than ever that clients have trusted advisers who understand their needs.
“At Blake Morgan, we pride ourselves on developing close personal relationships in the knowledge that we are often the first port of call in the event of a change in a client’s personal, family or financial circumstances.
“We are delighted that the strength of Blake Morgan’s private client offering for high net-worth individuals has been recognised in this highly-respected guide.”
