A Bracknell business looking to make freshly roasted coffee accessible to a wider market has almost reached its £80,000 target on crowdfunding platform Seedrs, with three weeks to go.

Beans Coffee Club offers a weekly to monthly subscription starting at £8.99, delivering a selection of coffees direct to customers’ doors.

The brand saw 300 per cent growth from 2022-23, with 12-month revenues of £730,000 and a subscriber base of 8,000 – success which has so far attracted the attention of 53 new investors.

Founders Richard and Fiona plan to use the fund to increase the number of roasters available to customers from 20 to 50, and the number of coffees available from 120 to 300.

They also plan to offer larger bag sizes and start selling brewing equipment and accessories.

This latest Seedrs campaign follows a £100,000 friends and family round last year and a successful pitch on Dragon’s Den, with the brand securing the backing of both Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett.
