Surrey: New COO strengthens Hart Brown's management structure
Leading Surrey law firm Hart Brown has appointed Nigel Maud as chief operating officer – a role in which he will drive the overall performance of the firm
This follows a transitional period in which a new management structure was announced.
After Bettina Brueggemann stepped down in September 2013, the firm, which had been carrying out a long-term strategic review, announced Paul Tobias as chair to the executive team. Tobias will continue as chairman responsible for the strategic direction of the firm.
In addition to these changes James Lamont will take up the position as head of corporate & commercial, and Shaun Parry-Jones becomes head of department for trust.
Tobias commented: "I am delighted to announce Nigel as chief operating officer. The roles of chairman and chief operating officer are key and Nigel and I will work closely together in reporting to the executive team of equity partners."
Maud said: "At Hart Brown our aim is to provide our clients with the highest level of service. Key to our service delivery are the personable and friendly nature of our people, our local knowledge and presence in the communities we serve and the specialist nature of the advice and expertise we can give. I am determined to continue to drive this to the highest level possible."
