Southampton: Moore Blatch Resolve reinforces position
Moore Blatch Resolve has reinforced its position as a leading player in the clinical negligence field by successfully tendering for this work from the Legal Services Commission.
The firm has been appointed a three-year contract and will be able to advise individuals on their clinical negligence concerns through funding from the Legal Services Commission.
The contract will allow Moore Blatch Resolve to provide advice and investigate major medical mishaps with the intention of securing compensation for clients that may need long-term care.
Tim Spring, partner and head of clinical negligence at Moore Blatch, said the Legal Services Commission contract recognises the expertise and experience within the team, which provides a specialist service and includes lawyers with medical and nursing qualifications.
He commented: “We are extremely pleased to have received recognition for our clinical expertise and are delighted that the partnership we have secured with the Legal Services Commission will continue.
“At a time when the number of firms undertaking publicly funded work is said to be in decline, we are glad to be able to offer this highly specialised service to the public.”
The Moore Blatch clinical negligence team is currently investigating clinical negligence claims with a contingent liability in excess of £50 million. The department was established 11 years ago and has become the preeminent clinical negligence team in the south undertaking the most complex of cases.
The department is also the first team to include an education lawyer, who will help to secure specialist educational support for children that have suffered serious injuries.
