Dorset-based legal firm Blanchards Bailey LLP Solicitors has appointed Edward O’Brien as a further addition to its expanding litigation and employment law department.
O’Brien is an experienced solicitor specialising in all aspects of employment law, including TUPE, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, settlement agreements and contractual disputes.
Having grown up in Dorset, he kept close working and personal relationships in the county while he trained and qualified in a top-tier London law firm, and worked for a large national firm in Plymouth.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am delighted to be joining Blanchards Bailey as the firm has an excellent reputation for providing clients with a comprehensive and friendly service. It’s also a very progressive organisation and has great plans for the future.”
Paul Dunlop, head of litigation and employment, said: “Edward’s diligent approach to work, coupled with his excellent experience in employment law, will enhance the expertise we can offer our clients.”
Outside of work you might hear O’Brien playing bass guitar with his acoustic trio ‘The Elusive Bright’ in local music festivals and on local radio stations.
