Stowe Family Law has opened a new office in Reading, taking its total to 16 and building on its position as the country’s largest dedicated specialist family law firm.

The new office is located at One Valpy, contemporary offices in Reading’s central business district, that overlook Forbury Gardens.

The office is headed by managing partner Naheed Taj who is an expert in all aspects of family law including divorce, financial issues, relationship breakdown, pre-and post-nuptial agreements and children; often working on substantial and complex cases.

Taj is familiar with the cultural sensitivities facing Asian clients as well as the financial complications caused by assets being held or paid for by the extended family. She has expert knowledge of Sharia law, Talaq and dowry and is fully conversant in Urdu and Punjabi.

She said: "It’s a really exciting time for Stowe Family Law and I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to open and lead this new office in Reading. We have a highly experienced team in place and I look forward to helping clients to resolve their problems and family disputes during what can be one of the most difficult times in their lives.”

Stowe Family Law CEO Charles Hartwell said: “Stowe’s reputation for excellence and outstanding client care is attracting an ever-growing caseload of local and international clients, many with highly complex affairs.  Reading is a thriving town with an innovative business, commercial and retail hub. We are excited about having a presence in the town.”

Hartwell added: “I’m delighted that Naheed has agreed to open and lead the new Reading office. She is an outstanding family lawyer, highly regarded within the legal community, and with extensive experience of complex and sensitive cases.”
