Barrister Camini Kumar has joined Penningtons Manches’ top-ranked Oxford family team from 2-3 Hind Court.  An Oxford classics graduate with a first-class law degree, Kumar was called to the bar in 2008.

She practises in all areas of family law including financial remedy, children and domestic violence. She also has a particular interest in Indian divorces and spoke on family law at The Women of India Leadership Summit in New Delhi in September 2014 where her participation helped to give a western perspective to the reform of Indian divorce laws.

Her pupillage was at 1 Hare Court where she worked on several leading cases, including Radmacher v Granatino. Kumar has co-authored articles on European family law and she lectures to other solicitors on family law matters. She is also a member of the Family Law Bar Association

Commenting on her appointment, Jane Mitchell, head of the Oxford family law practice, said: “We are delighted to welcome Camini to our team where the breadth of her experience and perspective as a barrister will enhance our capability on cross-border cases, high-value complex financial disputes and sensitive children matters.”
