Newbury and Thatcham solicitors Gardner Leader has promoted Michelle Di Gioia to partner and appointed a new marketing manager as the firm continues to grow.

Last year Gardner Leader increased its turnover by 11% and it has since grown the team further by welcoming Charles Hoile's probate, conveyancing and litigation teams into the firm.

Now, Michelle Di Gioia has been promoted from associate to partner in the firm's dispute resolution team and Fiona Curnow has joined to head up the marketing.

Di Gioia has been a solicitor for 14 years and will be specifically responsible for growing Gardner Leader's property litigation and regulatory work streams. She is experienced in litigation dealing with complex and high-worth cases and was recognised as a leading individual in Health and Safety law in 2012 by Chambers UK. She is also a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association and Property Litigation Association.

"I'm really looking forward to being a part of Gardner Leader's management team which is going from strength to strength,” said Di Gioia.

Curnow, who was previously business development manager at Morgan Cole solicitors, will also be responsible for helping grow the firm by further strengthening Gardner Leader's profile. She will use her 10 years' marketing experience to strengthen relations with existing clients and help develop and deliver new legal services.

She said: “Joining Gardner Leader at such a pertinent time is very exciting. Not only will I be part of a friendly and dynamic team but I look forward to applying my own skills and experience to help further build the business."

Derek Rodgers, managing partner of Gardner Leader, said: "Michelle only joined us 12 months ago but in this short space of time she has made a big impact on the growth of the firm and will be a real asset to the management team.

"We're also delighted that Fiona has joined us. Her marketing skills will be significant as we continue to expand our presence regionally.”
