Newbury-based BCMS Corporate is set to roll-out its range of professional services further across North America after opening a new office in Texas.
The company, which employs over 100 people at its headquarters in the UK, has been flooded with calls from potential clients looking to sell their businesses using BCMS’ unique approach since running a series of free seminars throughout the state last month. The company is scheduled to hold nearly 70 seminars across North America in 2009, double the number hosted last year.
Now, BCMS Corporate has decided to open a dedicated office in Fort Worth to capitalise on the still vibrant economy in the ‘Lone Star’ state, particularly within the energy sector. The six-strong team will also use the location as a springboard for BCMS Corporate to expand further into the South West and Gulf, most notably Arizona, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. The new office expects to finalise its first deal in the next few weeks.
The firm also expects to further secure its foothold on the continent by opening an office in Calgary in Canada in the second quarter of 2009. This follows a series of successful seminars in Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer during the spring, focusing predominantly on companies operating in the oil and natural gas supported region. By the end of 2009, BCMS Corporate will employ some 40 people in North America.
Dave Rebbettes, director at BCMS Corporate, said: “BCMS is going through a period of major international expansion, particularly in North America, and the opening of our office in Texas will provide us with the means to establish ourselves as a major player in this potentially lucrative marketplace.
“Unlike some other professional services firms in our sector, we spend a huge amount of time dealing face to face with our clients. North America is vast, a challenge being met by opening regional offices. This is likely to mean our presence will continue to grow at a pace for the foreseeable future.”
