Henley-on-Thames: HMT appoints new partner
Chris Gow joins HMT as a partner from September 1 to establish a debt advisory offering within the firm’s corporate finance team.
After eight years as senior director in leverage finance with Bank of Scotland, Gow became head of investments at Lloyds Banking Group, and more recently he has held the position of director at Candlewick Asset Management.
Gow will be working mostly in London where he will be spearheading the opening of a London office for the firm.
HMT’s Andrew Thomson commented: "The debt market has developed at a tremendous rate in recent years both in terms of the number of debt providers and the complexity of the products now available – both for ongoing working capital and for transaction funding. It is against this background, and the demands from our sophisticated client base, that we have added debt advisory to our specialist skills.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris to develop our debt advisory offering. It is a testament to the pedigree and reputation of HMT that we have been able to secure someone of Chris’s calibre and we are looking forward to working with him.”
Gow added: “I am delighted to be joining HMT at an exciting time for the firm. HMT has an enviable track-record of delivering for its clients and I am looking forward to helping existing and new clients achieve their ambitions."
