Hampshire's Simplyhealth launches £60m investment fund
Hampshire firm, Simplyhealth has revealed details of a venture capital fund entitled, ‘Simplyhealth Ventures.'
The private health plan provider announced it is to invest £60 million into the UK healthcare market.
Over the next few years the fund will support UK-focused, early-stage healthcare businesses in order to accelerate the development and adoption of predictive and preventative healthcare solutions.
Marking the launch of the investment fund, Simplyhealth Ventures announced their financing of two healthtech firms, Daye – a female founded gynaecological health company, while in May, the fund took a majority stake in West Sussex based Ocuplan.

Dr Sneh Khemka, Chief Executive Officer at Simplyhealth said: “I am proud to launch Simplyhealth Ventures.
"We’re investing in pioneering healthcare businesses in the HealthTech and MedTech sectors and have already made significant investments this year.
