Legal aid disappeared for the majority of cases earlier this year, meaning divorcing couples now have to manage their financial costs as well as the inevitable stress, worry and upset. To help couples in this position, Hampshire-based law firm Warner Goodman LLP has launched four new fixed-fee packages, with its kick-start option starting from £99 including VAT.

Family partner Samantha Miles explained: “Before April of this year, some couples did qualify for legal aid, which meant that they received financial support when paying for their legal fees. Now that legal aid is not available to all, we have designed our new divorce packages to help those couples who have unfortunately reached the decision to separate and may not be able to afford traditional divorce fees.

“Our range of packages offers clients the freedom to manage their divorce their way for the cost they can manage. The difference between the packages is the level of hand-holding the client receives and, no matter what level they do ultimately go for, every client will receive the same professional and understanding service.”
