Entrepreneur secures £40k Dragons’ Den investment for Kent chocolate factory
Entrepreneur Steve Rehmat Victor has secured £40,000 from Dragons’ Den investor Sara Davies to expand his chocolate business, which he launched during the first national lockdown.
My Chocolate Shop specialises in bespoke, branded products for celebrities and influencers. It also caters to a growing Muslim market, with the Rehmat Chocolate range offering confectionery and gifts such as Ramadan countdown calendars and EID truffles.
Steve and his brother currently operate a specialist factory in Sittingbourne, Kent, where he hopes to invest in greater production capabilities. The funds will also be put towards expanding the company’s marketing to reach more creators and consumers.

Upon securing the investment, which sees Dragon Sara Davies take a 30 per cent share of the business, Steve said: “I’m thrilled to have Sara on board. Having read her book and studied her impressive track record, I knew that working with her would be an incredible opportunity.
“Despite having many years of experience in public speaking, going into the Dragons’ Den was extremely nerve-wracking. I felt like a rabbit in the headlights. However, I’d watched and rewatched previous shows, made sure I was well prepared and came out with a result I couldn’t be happier with.”
The company has already collaborated with the likes of Gemma Collins and Chloe Ferry to bring branded chocolate to the marketplace, with the celebrities able to choose their own flavours, colours, and packaging.
Steve’s latest project is a collaboration with KSI to produce Prime chocolate, following the YouTuber’s success with Prime energy drinks.
