Dorset: Poole Harbour Commissioners appoints new CFO

Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) has appointed Steve Wisdom FCA – a senior financial professional with extensive business and corporate experience – as its new chief financial officer.

Wisdom has a background of more than 20 years working across a range of businesses, most recently as head of commercial finance at global business risk consultancy Drum Cussac Group. His diverse industry experience also includes property, financial services and healthcare.

In the past, he has held senior management positions at prestigious local companies including Portman Building Society and Spectrum Housing Group.

In his new role, Wisdom will report to CEO Jim Stewart and will be part of the senior leadership team with responsibility for shaping and directing the financial strategy for the local organisation.

Commenting on the appointment, Stewart said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve on board. He has had lots of success in driving growth and brings with him vast commercial and financial leadership experience.  Steve’s skills and credentials are a great fit for PHC and I am confident he will be a valuable asset to the company.”

Wisdom added: “I am excited to have joined PHC and taken on a role in a sector which is going through a significant and transformational shift. The role provides a great opportunity to utilise my skills and experience in a diverse industry sector and I look forward to supporting Jim and the team in delivering the Poole Harbour masterplan.”
