Cohort-owned SEA wins £15.1m contract to supply Canadian navy
SEA – a subsidiary of Reading-based tech group Cohort – has been awarded a £15.1m overseas contract for a major naval vessel programme.
The SEA team in Frome, Somerset will support SEA Canada in the delivery of its lightweight, rapid-reaction torpedo launch systems (TLS) to the country’s naval fleet.
Andy Thomis, chief executive of Cohort, said: “This contract is another significant win for SEA and will deliver an essential capability for the Royal Canadian Navy.
“It builds on SEA's long-standing reputation and successful delivery of the TLS system to customers around the world.
“Together with other recent contract wins across the group, this further underpins our order book and enhances the visibility of future revenues.”
That includes a £17.5m contract for SEA last year, which will see them provide an external communications system for an unnamed major defence programme over the next two years.
