Richard Light has been appointed by Bournemouth-based law firm Lester Aldridge as a director in the firm’s tax, trusts and wills team.
Light has a wealth of experience in advising high-net-worth individuals on all aspects of personal taxation, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax, as well as related off-shore elements.
He also has considerable experience in advising shareholders on their tax planning, with a particular emphasis on the ultimate sale of their business. He has advised on a large number of trade sales and private equity transactions.
After a period of initial training at HMRC, he worked at Deloitte for 24 years at a number of locations in London and on the South Coast, where he qualified as a chartered tax adviser.
