Leading invoice financier Bibby Financial Services has strengthened its team in the south of England by appointing Kevin Connery as sales manager for south London and Surrey.
Based at Bibby Financial Services’ London offices and reporting into regional sales director Andy Leopold, Connery will work with the region’s introducers to secure new business opportunities and expand Bibby’s client base.
Commenting on his appointment, Connery said: “The upturn in the economic climate will, to an extent, be dependent on small and medium-sized enterprises and their ability to prosper. But with the vagaries of the economy placing high street banks under immense pressure, significant commercial opportunities exist for independent players such as Bibby Financial Services.
“In such a highly competitive market, independent financiers need to demonstrate to small and medium-sized businesses that there are alternative funding options out there. I am therefore very much looking forward to working with businesses in south London and Surrey, understanding their requirements and increasing their awareness of Bibby’s tailored and flexible finance solutions.”
Connery joins Bibby Financial Services from Venture Finance plc, where he served for five years as business development manager. Prior to this, he spent four years at Royal Bank of Scotland Commercial Services, an organisation he joined following a three-year tenure at Barclays Sales Finance.
