Parrott & Coales LLP has appointed local solicitor and employment law expert Albert Bargery to head up the employment services division.
Bargery will use his experience in employment law to support organisations, businesses and individuals on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters such as employment contracts, redundancies, maternity rights, unfair dismissal, discrimination and transfer of undertakings (TUPE).
He will also be responsible for growing the firm's employment division which is already making headway with its fixed-fee advice service and its retainer scheme.
Commenting on his appointment, Bargery said: "I joined Parrott & Coales because I've always been impressed with how forward thinking it is as a team. The firm is well established in the area with an excellent reputation and has seen strong growth, so it's great to be able to join at this exciting time and play a role in shaping the firm's future success.”
Managing partner Sarah Plumridge said: "We understand that employment matters can be challenging and complex, which is why we're continuously developing our services so we lend the support and advice that our clients need.
"Albert will be a real asset to help us drive our employment division forward. He is a specialist in his area and he has represented a range of organisations in the community, such as local schools, to larger, national corporations like automotive firms and haulage and shipping companies. We're delighted he could join the team.”
