Oxford Gene Technology (OGT), the clinical research and diagnostics group, is moving to the Oxford Technology Park (OTP).

The company is letting 10,765 sq ft across two units at The Innovation Quarter at the 400,000 sq ft science park.

It will comprise hybrid office and laboratory space and is let in shell condition for OGT to fit out.
CEO of OGT Adrian Smith said: "We are looking forward to moving into our state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the Oxford technology hub.

"OGT continues to perform well with sustained growth and this investment will help accelerate our next phase of product development in the life science space."

OGT was founded in 1995 and has expanded rapidly, outgrowing its current space on the neighbouring Begbroke Science Park.

Ian Harris, the director of asset management at property investor Life Science REIT, added: "OGT is exactly the type of growing, life sciences business that the Innovation Quarter at OTP was designed to attract; the units are smaller, more flexible and more affordable than elsewhere in Oxford but are very close to the academic and research institutions in and around the University.

"Across OTP the company is uniquely positioned with a range of high quality, affordable and well-located space, appealing to occupiers across the life sciences spectrum."

The park's 69,400 sq ft Innovation Quarter targets emerging life science businesses and offers smaller, more flexible space which can accommodate both wet and dry labs.

It reached practical completion at the beginning of August this year and has achieved a BREEAM Excellent certification and an EPC A rating.
