Worcester digital marketing agency raises a glass to new client

Wines and Spirits merchants Threshers has appointed Worcester-based award winning agency, Ecrubox Digital, to roll out a new online growth initiative.

Ecrubox Digital has won the contract to handle the brand’s digital transformation and e-commerce strategy as the company gears up for an exciting seasonal period ahead.

UK consumers spent an extra £261 million on alcohol to drink at home last month, with convenience stores and online still the fastest growing channels for growth, according to Kantar.

To meet these demands and consistent spikes in spending habits, Threshers realised that their online store needed to offer a seamless experience to meet consumer expectations and to be visible to customers who are unaware of their return as a pure play e-tailer - which is why PPC, Paid Social Media and SEO services were high on their priority list when choosing a digital partner.

71 per cent of British consumers are reluctant to shop in store this Christmas, according to Research from Klarna and retail data company Retail Economics.

Faced with uncertainty on the high street, the shift to digital is likely to become even more prevalent, and with alcohol products taking up a larger portion of the online basket, it made sense for Threshers to look to an agency that excelled in e-commerce strategy and one that could help them develop and digitalise to their full potential with a quick turnaround.

Palminder Singh, Director, Threshers, said: “We have been looking to partner with an agency who not only understood our history, vision and values as a brand, but one that could also help push us to achieve new goals. As a West Midlands based company, we wanted to partner with a local agency, and Ecrubox Digital came highly recommended.”

Ecrubox is now approaching its third anniversary and is scaling quickly. While 2020 presented some challenges there were also unexpected wins - with the pipeline continuing to fill during this uncertain time.

The company now has ten full time employees, and a colourful portfolio of clients ranging from lifestyle businesses to software and technology companies.

Heather Horton, Co-Founder of Ecrubox Digital, said: “Even through these difficult times, the agency continues to excel, surpassing client expectations across all aspects of digital. Our team is excited to welcome Threshers to the Ecrubox family and looks forward to a profitable Christmas season and beyond”
