A leading provider of turn-key labeling solutions, Wokingham-based PRISYM ID, has been awarded the 2013 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Serving the medical device, life sciences and manufacturing industries, it offers integrated in-house printing solutions with lifecycle traceability.

The Queen’s Award is the UK's most prestigious business accolade and is open to businesses that have shown outstanding achievement in innovation, evidence of international trade and sustainable development. The awards are the highest official UK awards for British businesses and are on recommendation from the prime minister.

PRISYM ID was selected by the judging panel for its innovative web-based labeling solution designed specifically for the medical device market, which has enabled increased efficiency, consistent branding and robust compliance with regulations regarding electronic records and signatures for global manufacturers - all of which ultimately lead to improved patient safety. PRISYM ID’s market-leading software and high level of customer service have helped the organisation attract large enterprise clients across the UK, EMEA and the USA.

CEO Mick Daw commented: “We are thrilled to accept this award and to be recognised for the innovation that our team has delivered through hard work, commitment and a belief that we could become a leader in our market. We have excelled over the past few years and have successfully managed the transition from start-up to mature organisation."

PRISYM ID will now receive a Grant of Appointment, a presentational item and an invitation from HM The Queen to a reception at Buckingham Palace. The award will last for five years.
