Winchester: New Paris Smith office opens this week
One of the largest regional law firms in the south has recently acquired the historic property at 9 Parchment Street in Winchester to meet the needs of its increasing number of clients living and working in and around the city. This week the high sheriff of Hampshire, Lady Louisa Portal MBE DL, opens the doors to Paris Smith’s new Winchester office.
The law firm will be hosting a number of events for its neighbours, clients and the people of Winchester, and is engaging local companies to supply as many goods and services as possible, as the team believes in supporting its business community.
Stuart Allen, partner and expert in property finance and commercial property, and finance partner Huw Miles will head up the new office.
Allen commented: “We have been taking good care of legal matters for the people of Winchester and the surrounding area for many generations, so it was only a matter of time before we opened a new office in the very heart of this city. With the acquisition of such a beautiful building, we are committed to integrating in the Winchester community and will open as a full-service law firm from day one.”
The new office will be home to more than 35 solicitors and dedicated support staff, in addition to a coordinated range of consultancy services.
Allen continued: “We are a genuine full-service firm and I have a passion to lead us into a bright future, and look forward to developing our connections with Winchester.”
Paris Smith will continue to operate its Southampton office and develop both sites for its clients.
