Vet's Klinic's second site opens in Woodley
Vet's Klinic has opened its doors in Woodley, Reading, representing a roughly £1.2 million investment.
The Reading site is the second opened by the company, which started out in Swindon in August 2012 with the aim of offering high quality care at affordable prices, growing to become the largest single site practice in the Wiltshire town.
The new clinic, which led to the creation of ten new roles, opened yesterday (2 February), with a public launch event set for tomorrow (Saturday 4 February).
One of the most striking parts of the new centre is the glass windowed prep area, which allows the pets owners to see what's happening while the team performs certain tasks such as taking blood or samples, or administering anaesthetic, with the aim being to represent transparency.

Primarily focusing on cats and dogs, the clinic features 12 cat kennels with a further four isolation cat kennels, and 11 dogs kennels with a further 6 isolation dog kennels. The clinic intends to extend this in future.
It features separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, minimising the stress to cats by keeping them away from the noise of the dogs, and the cat waiting room will soon feature high shelving, allowing the cats to be up high where they can see the whole room.
The site also features two operating theatres, x-rays, a lab - allowing most testing to be kept on site - and separate consulting rooms for dogs and cats.
Building work on the site was carried out by Reading-based construction company Morris & Blunt, architecture was carried out by QSR and R, and the project was supported by landlords Lane Clarke & Peacock.
The opening of the clinic coincides with the launch of the company's new website, where customers can book appointments and access their pet's records.
Laura Shears, Managing Director at Vet’s Klinic said: “Vet’s Klinic’s philosophy is driven by a passion to deliver gold standard care not only for pets but also for pet owners by offering state-of-the-art care at affordable prices – all with the goal of helping more pets enjoy long-term health and happiness.”
