The Little Pasta Company secures funding from EM3 Expansion Loan Scheme

Online hand-made meal kit business The Little Pasta Company has secured £75,000 in funding from the EM3 (Enterprise M3) Expansion Loan Scheme to help it expand.

The Little Pasta Company was founded in 2020 by Italian food lover Daniel Webber-Quick, who turned his passion into a business, creating a range of easy to cook, Italian, hand-made meal kits from his home kitchen. The kits are made to order the evening before and delivered fresh the next day.

The success of the business, which provides a nutritious, healthy alternative to ready meals or takeaways with no food wastage, meant the business needed to scale-up, and the £75,000 funding will see it relocated to a larger, more purpose-built facility, as well as the recruitment of two new chefs and an administrative assistant.

The premises move will enable the business to offer cooking workshops and, as the UK starts to host outdoor events again, the business’ new, fully branded food truck will be available for hire nationwide. The company also plans to launch a subscription service later this year.

The business was initially supported with a Growth Plan by EM3 Growth Hub which also helped the company access the EM3 Expansion Loan Scheme.

Daniel Webber-Quick, Founder and Director, The Little Pasta Company, said: "I wanted to start a business which could offer healthy, fresh, nutritious food which was easy to prepare. The demand for this type of food is on the increase. I found the whole (Growth Hub) experience to be hugely beneficial to me and my business.

"It’s not always easy as a new business to find the right guidance and support and I have no question about recommending Enterprise M3 Growth Hub to others. The EM3 Expansion Loan has given the business the opportunity to be able to meet this demand and to reach more people to further grow."
