Pitmans Law has acted for John O’Hanlon and Waylands Automotive on their second Volvo dealership acquisition in six months.
Following the launch of Waylands in November 2017, the dealer group has doubled in size with the acquisition of Fawcetts Garage in Newbury, Volvo’s oldest UK retailer.
Pitmans Law worked with O’Hanlon for over 20 years in his role as chief executive of Ridgeway and acted on the sale of the dealership to Marshall Motor Holdings in the fourth largest deal of its kind in the UK ever.
The deal was led by Stephanie Perry and Jasmine Murphy on the corporate side and Delphine Mehouas who led the property acquisition.
O’Hanlon said: “We are very excited to have been presented with the opportunity to grow our Volvo brand and to add to our fledgling business in such a short space of time.
“Thank you to the team at Pitmans for their technical and practical advice. Having worked with Pitmans extensively, I had no doubt that they would provide an outstanding service.”
Perry said: “I am delighted to be able to continue to support John in his new venture in the motor trade industry and look forward to working closely together in the future.”
