‘One of the satisfactions of being a managing director is receiving independent recognition for your business,’ says Darren Cooper.

Over the years I’ve seen immense pride from all the team when we win awards which is testament to all the hard work from every member of staff across the Group as we strive to continue to offer customers a service level second to none. It’s a total reflection of not only doing a great job, but importantly how your customers view you. I believe it’s just as important a message to share internally, as it is externally.

This month our staff have enjoyed a double celebration after receiving two national awards. The Peter Cooper Southampton team scooped a top three position in UK Volkswagen retailers’ sales performance out of over 220 retailers. Our Bodyshop Repair Centre also made it into the top 10 for nationally approved repairers. Excitement around this recognition grew even more when we finished ninth out of 171 Volkswagen approved repairers, a fabulous achievement that the team have become so proud of.

The news comes on the back of a very impressive year for the Group, which has been boosted by a boom in car sales between all the lockdown periods. Never one to rest and sit back, Darren Cooper commented: “We have our eyes on a few more awards this year as we enjoy our 40th anniversary and will enjoy sharing more positive recognition with our teams if we are successful.”
