Business Solent's inaugural annual conference will see 350 delegates gathering on board P&O Cruises’ Oriana in Southampton on Friday.

The conference, Business Without Boundaries, will highlight the work and achievements of Business Solent during its first year and introduce the latest opportunities, focusing on the region's business and political environment. There will be presentations from Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) from across the region, including the Solent LEP, Dorset LEP, Enterprise M3 and Coast to Capital, whilst keynote speaker is Andrew Neil, publisher, broadcaster and presenter of the BBC2 Daily Politics Show.

Despite some of the toughest financial constraints on business and uncertainty over the economic outlook, Business Solent has continued to grow, gaining 46 new Champions in the past year.

Sally Lynskey, CEO of Business Solent said: “We are now a significant business organisation for the region, working with leaders from all sectors on a strategic, bespoke basis for the benefit of their organisations and the greater good of the Solent and surrounding economic areas. We are delivering an increased range of services, products, events and working in alliance with various partners who can ‘plug in’ to our infrastructure and business model.”
