Southampton-based logistics company Acclaim Logistics has extended the full range of its distribution services to include Bulgaria and Romania.

This expansion of its international services is being made possible by the company’s membership of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest-growing express palletised freight network.

The improved service means that Acclaim Logistics can now deliver to 20 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Spain, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

Mark Robinson, depot principal at Acclaim Logistics, said: “The addition of Romania and Bulgaria to the network is excellent news for both Palletways and Acclaim Logistics and will open up new market opportunities, which will benefit us and our customers.”

Luis Zubialde, managing director for Palletways (UK), added: “Our expansion into the Black Sea countries means we can now deliver to more European destinations than any other pallet network and it reinforces our position as the pallet network of natural choice. The new service will be supported by our pan-European IT platform and central customer service operation in Madrid to ensure we provide the best customer experience.”

The Palletways’ pan-European network is growing at a tremendous rate. Today it handles over 30,000 pallets across Europe every day and cross-border volume growth is predicted to reach 50% this year. The group constantly improves its services as it recently added Poland and the Baltic states to its operations and is looking to further develop its geographical footprint in Hungary, Switzerland and the Nordic countries.

Palletways consists of 400 depots across Europe of which over 100 are in the UK. The company’s distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies, including Acclaim Logistics, which share each other’s resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
