South: RBS appoints new regional director

The Royal Bank of Scotland has announced the appointment of Roger Fenwick as regional director of commercial banking for London and the South East. Seven local directors of commercial banking will report to him, along with their respective relationship-management and sector teams.

He moves to RBS from NatWest where he was most recently regional director for sectors in London and the South East. He has 28 years’ experience in banking, having started his career at NatWest and worked across the business and commercial-banking teams.

Fenwick said: “I am delighted to be joining a strong locally based team that is focused on providing outstanding customer service.  Our relationship management teams support a wide range of SMEs but we also have specialists with knowledge in key sectors such as healthcare, leisure, professionals, real estate, financial institutions and not for profit organisations. We have a vision to be the favourite commercial bank.”

The team of directors under Fenwick providing local and specialist sector expertise continue to be: Phil Nash, director of London real estate team; Julie Highfield, director London and South East healthcare team; Mark Middleton, director of leisure and services; Simon Duck, director of South East real estate; Anthony Rider, director for Thames Valley and South East; Colin Moulder, director North London and home counties; and Rashel Chowdhury, director of professionals, financial institutions and not-for-profit.
