Chris Ratten and Jeremy Woodside of Tenon Recovery have been appointed as joint adminstrators of Harvey World Travel (UK).
Harvey World Travel (UK) is an independent travel agency group with a head office based in Cannock, Staffordshire and employs 248 staff. It has 57 stores operating throughout the Southwest, Midlands and East Anglia.
Chris Ratten, director at Tenon, commented: "Unfortunately yesterday we had to implement a store closure program on 16 of the company’s stores which resulted in circa 80 employees being made redundant. We are currently in discussions with a number of parties who have expressed an interest in certain specific stores and will pursue this interest during the course of the next few days.
"I would advise customers who have made bookings through Harvey World Travel to make contact with the credit control department of their tour operator and also to make contact with ABTA through their helpline on 01202-596699.”
