South East: Entries invited for Women in Business
The Women in Business 2016 Awards has launched and is inviting entries and nominations from companies and individuals who have made a real difference to the role of women in business over the past 12 months.
This initiative aims to discover and reward not only successful and aspiring business women but also the men who have helped them to realise their success.
The Awards evening – now in its fourth year – is already recognised as the most prestigious awards event for women in the southern business calendar, and will be celebrated at a glittering gala dinner on September 15 at Oakley Hall Hotel.
Entrants should have their headquarters or principal trading office based in the Thames Valley or Solent and South Coast. They can self-nominate or be nominated by work colleagues, customers, suppliers or other associates, and entries should be submitted by June 17, through the website: womeninbusiness.biz/awards
“This is a campaign acknowledging the real value that diversity can add to our businesses through productivity and profitability,” said Tamsin Napier-Munn of The Business Magazine, which hosts the event.
“It’s about recognising that, although men and women should be seen and treated as equals, we are in fact different, and valuing these real differences between us – if identified and proactively managed – can achieve better results and greater success for everyone.”
This year’s Awards comprise six categories which aim to spotlight a diverse range of successful people, including: the woman entrepreneur, rising stars, senior partners/managers and board directors, as well as the men who have enabled and supported their progress.
The Awards are sponsored by Barclays, business development company Clarify, and law firm Blake Morgan.
