Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has recently been appointed as new auditor for the AM Awards which are dedicated to acknowledging exemplary performance and innovation in the automotive industry.
BDO has taken over from MSX International which fulfilled the role for five years.
Lead partner at BDO Southampton, Malcolm Thixton, who also heads motor retail for the firm nationally, said: “We are delighted to be appointed as auditor of the AM Awards in July. As one of the leading advisers in the sector, we have been working with motor retailers for more than 20 years and are pleased to bring this experience to support AM in its recognition of the stars of the UK motor industry.
“We are looking forward to meeting the dealer groups and seeing at first-hand the best practices that put them at the forefront of the industry.”
The awards ceremony will be held in February. A number of the categories are audited and will require on-site visits by BDO which will be looking into the managerial and financial performance of the business, as well as the culture. Its reports will form an integral part of judging.
