Companies from across the region have made it to this year’s Financial Times (FT) 1000: the fifth annual list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies.

The FT 1000, compiled with research company Statista, lists the European companies that achieved the highest compound annual growth rate in revenue between 2016 and 2019, BC (before Coronavirus).

The full report will appear in the FT on March 22.

Companies appearing in the list which are headquartered in our region include Reading-based cash for rewards survey company Qmee, which sits at No 64 in the list, followed by Oxford-based artificial intelligence drug discovery company Exscientia.ai, which sits at No 228.

Leamington Spa-based technology company Genba Digital is at No 444, and at No 546 is Oxford Summer Courses. Another Oxford company, autonomous vehicle tech company Oxbotica, is at No 721 with sustainability consultancy, Anthesis, which has offices in Oxford and Bristol, at No 733.

At 742 is Slough-based SAP consultancy AG, with Bristol-based technology company Route 101 at No 819 in the list is followed by Cheltenham-based A&D holidays, at No 864 and trading as Holiday Architects.

To be included in the list, a company had to have revenues of at least 100,000 Euros generated in 2016, revenues of at least 1.5 million Euros generated in 2019. The company must be independent and revenue growth between 2016 and 2019 was primarily organic. If a company is listed on a stock exchange, its share price must not have fallen 500 per cent or more since 2019.
