Reading's The Curious Academy to stage summer party to celebrate its successful courses
The Curious Academy, which runs digital skills training programmes in Reading, is staging a party this summer to celebrate that the courses it ran last year have generated over £1 million in salaries for people securing jobs after participating.
The courses, or bootcamps, are run from the not-for-profit business lounge and training centre 'The Curious Lounge' in the town centre.

The focus is on two high-demand fields - data analytics and digital marketing - and participants to have completed the courses have ranged from 19 to 60 years old.
"The quality of the face to face experience with the Data Analytics Bootcamp went far beyond my expectations," one student was quoted as saying.
"The team at the Academy could have not made us feel more at ease in the most inclusive way and provided so much individual support during and beyond the course."
"The course was very well structured and working on a real life project allowed us to apply that knowledge instantly in a tangible way," they added.
The academy said that employers, which partner with them, are provided with access to previously untapped talent pools.
"By evaluating candidates on demonstrated skills rather than subjective factors, we remove unconscious bias from the hiring process. This allows companies to build more diverse, innovative teams," it added.
The programmes are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer. They are part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee.
