LDC has sold its stake in Apollo Group Holdings, one of the largest and most successful providers of property services in the South of England. The £410 million secondary buyout was led by Gary Couch, chief executive of Apollo Group with support from Bank of Scotland Corporate.

Apollo operates in both the public and private sectors with projects in social housing regeneration, property maintenance and the improvement and construction of new education facilities.

Apollo's projects range from major social housing regeneration schemes through to the delivery of fast track school improvement works and the construction of new educational facilities.

Kevan Leggett, regional managing director of LDC, said: "This has been a fantastic investment for LDC and the business, which has significantly grown employee numbers as well as turnover since we backed the first buyout.

"We've thoroughly enjoyed working with the high quality, enthusiastic Apollo team and wish them all the best as they continue to enhance the Group's strength in the property refurbishment arena."

Gary Couch, chief executive of Apollo Group, said: "The new structure and the expanded shareholding will provide significant benefits to our customers and our staff.

"We have had an excellent relationship with LDC and we look forward to continuing the success with Bank of Scotland."
