A laser clay shooting range has opened in Reading - the brainchild of University of Portsmouth graduate Sean Larsen.

Reload has been described as an unique new target sport leisure venue. It is open for corporate hospitality days and for individual use - and the sport can be played by people of all ages, from as young as 10.

Larsen explained: "Laser Clay shooting is a sporting activity whereby you shoot a harmless infrared beam out of a converted shotgun. A clay is launched into the air and if the beam from the gun hits the clay then a hit is recorded on the electronic scoreboard. The activity difficulty can be varied for the age range or ability of those playing, and can be played by those aged as young as 10 years old."

Reload is based in the former Rivermead driving range. Larsen added: "Unlike the majority of the laser clay shooting market this business is operating out of a fixed location and so can provide a far more varied and immersive experience using additional auxiliary systems."

These systems have been bespoke built by Larsen, who has founded the business after, most recently, working as a commercial helicopter pilot.
