Dan Germain, group head of brand and creative at Innocent, will be leading Boyes Turner’s second event in its Early Bird series of thought-provoking talks from well-known business leaders.

Taking place at the firm’s office in Reading on September 24 from 8-10am, the talk is designed to provide the opportunity for CEOs, MDs, FDs, marketing directors and other senior executives to discuss the challenges they are facing and explore their options.

Germain joined the smoothie/pulped fruit business when it started in 1999. Through a unique tone of voice he built a brand that ultimately led to the supermarkets creating a new product category and the business managing to do what big drinks companies told them they couldn’t – make a profit from mass market 100% fruit smoothie drinks.

Immediately after the talk, 10.15-11am, members of Boyes Turner’s intellectual property team will host an optional workshop on the legal aspects of how best to protect your brand.

Andrew Chalkley, Boyes Turner’s CEO, commented: “I’m genuinely excited to announce the second of The Early Bird Series, “Beyond SME – What next?” Having Dan Germain, who has been central to the success of the UK’s most innovative and disruptive business in recent years, as the speaker is a great way to continue the series. I’m sure that his experience will be of immense interest to senior management teams throughout the Thames Valley.”

This event follows on from the first which featured entrepreneur and former Dragon Richard Farleigh from the BBC’s highly-successful Dragons Den programme, who talked about his experience of helping well-known brands including Net-A-Porter and the highly-successful food company Reggae Reggae Sauce.
